Becki Newton

Becki was born in Guilford Connecticut. She began appearing in local shows and in Summer stock theater when she was thirteen. As she studied European History at Penn, she also spent time in Europe. Becki relocated to NYC shortly after graduating to pursue a career on Broadway. She's appeared in many national commercials, guest-starring and regular roles, including Cold Case (2003) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1998), American Dreams (2002) and was cast as Amanda in Ugly Betty (2007). She's married to the actor Chris Diamantopoulos, and her brother is actor Matt Newton. They're beautiful, but not supermodels. As I'm not equipped to do the red carpet, I prefer leaving corporate events to the pros. However, I'm certainly no squeamish about taking risks with regards to my appearance. Glamour is fun! The point is not to be a fussy person or putting up with your self. There's nothing wrong in being uneasy.
